aquatic syndicate

Beginning in 2010, the Tucson Aquatic Enthusiast Society began to meet for Cousteau films, pool poaching, and what have you. Originally, mainly an assortment of graduate students, we grew in number and spread geographically. With our sister societies in Seattle, San Fransisco, and polyps within myriad disciplines and sectors, we are emerging as an aquatic syndicate.

As members of an aquatic society we enjoy observing, researching and discussing aquatic life, while sharing snacks. We are also enthusiastic about: preserving oceans, adventuring, learning forms of maritime transportation, corresponding from the field, arts and crafting, develop oceanic library, sea shanties, skill sharing, building an oceanic community, interspecies solidarity, and aquatic revolution.
