I’ll be presenting new work at the Sea of Consequences workshop, April 15–17, 2026 at the University of the Balearic Islands held in a hybrid format.
“The conference forms part of the OCN Project, which seeks to provide an interdisciplinary analysis of the cultural and scientific discourses that, since the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS, 1982), have shaped the international framework surrounding oceanic crimes and environmental harm. Our goal is to explore how literature, cinema, science, law, and public policy intersect to produce narratives and debates about marine resource exploitation, toxic and plastic pollution, and the effects of climate change on ocean ecosystems — as well as their implications for sustainability and human rights.”
